Los
Encinos State Historic Park
Encino, California
Client: California Department of Parks and Recreation (MIG, Prime Consultant)
The team of Moore Iacofano and Goltsman (MIG) and Daniel Quan Design
provided facilitation and planning services to develop a strategic interpretive
and operations plan for this historic cultural park located in downtown
Encino, California. With its cultural resources damaged heavily in the
Loma Prieta earthquake, this park was challenged with coming back on-line
and becoming a positive force in the community. This planning effort involved
expanding the interpretive program, restoring historic resources, and
providing better community outreach while balancing neighborhood recreation
needs.
