WAYSIDE
EXHIBITS
Trails,
scenic views, and natural and cultural features in a park are often provided
with self-guided interpretive graphics, also called wayside panels. For
typical park projects, a series of wayside panels will be planned and
developed, balancing interpretive goals with sensitivity to the landscape
Alviso Marina County Park
Alviso, California
Client: County of Santa Clara, California
(Dillingham Associates, Prime Consultant)
This wetland restoration area at the southern end of San
Francisco Bay has been re-opened with recreational trails and a boardwalk
through a former marina returned to its natural environment. Wayside graphics
were designed to interpret the wetland’s natural resources and history.
